Enterprise Drives
SEM is the only manufacturer to engineer devices specifically for enterprise drive destruction. Enterprise class drives are designed to withstand higher temperatures and 24/7 usage, and are constructed with heavy duty components. Enterprise SSDs are typically made of longer-lasting flash memory and use different architectures to optimize performance, and often house three boards rather than the one found in consumer drives. Enterprise HDDs are constructed with heavy duty components including headstack with higher structural rigidity, larger magnets and air turbulence controls, and double-anchored spindles. In addition, enterprise drives often contain heat sinks and cooling tubes. These heavier components require a more powerful shredder specifically designed for use with enterprise drives. Don’t worry — SEM has you covered.
