Quality Engineer

SEM is looking for a Quality Engineer to join our growing team. The Quality Engineer’s responsibilities include conducting tests and inspections, identifying issues in production, process, or products, and recommending and implementing solutions.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections and quality tests
  • Identify and resolve workflow and production issues
  • Ensure that standards and safety regulations are observed
  • Address and discuss issues and proposed solutions with peers and superiors
  • Document quality assurance activities
  • Make recommendations for improvement
  • Define and create in-process inspections and logs or check sheets for production operators and assembly technicians

Quality Engineer Requirements:

  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience in Quality Engineering role
  • At least 3 years previous experience in Quality Engineer role
  • Working knowledge of tools, methods, and concepts of quality assurance
  • Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications, graphs, and compilation of data
  • Operation of measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers are a must
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent data collection and analysis skills
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Project management experience is a plus
