The SEM Model DS-22 Disintegrator is one of many Dual Stage Systems that has been evaluated by the NSA and with the standard 3/32" screen, meets the requirements of NSA/CSS Specification 02-02, High Security Disintegrators and NSA/CSS 04-02, Optical Media Destruction Devices.

 

Like all Dual Stage Systems, the Model DS-22 Shredding System combines a high output shredder with the versatility of a disintegrator (rotary knife mill). SEM's dual stage design features a high torque, low RPM shredder as the first stage of destruction and a high speed rotary knife mill (disintegrator) as the second.

 

The first stage pre-shreds bulk fed material (i.e. burn bags, banker boxes, manuals, etc,) where the second stage converts the shred into any desired particle size via an interchangeable product destruction screen.
