This high volume, high security shredder uses an exclusive factory installed automatic oiler with a one gallon platic bottle of oil that can be deployed on either side of, or the back of, the shredder. Changing the oil bottles are made fast and easy by using the "quick disconnect" that snaps into place. There is no pouring of oil to fill messy reservoirs.

The 5140C/4PB also comes with a Premium "BUNDLED" Starter Kit consisting of a case of oil (2 One Gallon Jugs) and a case (50) of waste collection bags.

The NSA/CSS 02-01 Listed Model 5140C/4PB also features:

Safety Protection System - SPS controlled safety flap in the feed opening to help prevent accidents and/or overfeeding.

Energy Savings Mode - ESM shuts shredder off when not in use for prolonged periods.

Electronic Capacity Control- ECC - LEDs provide a visual indication of infeed sheet capacity being utilized to help prevent overfeeding and paper jams.

Easy-Switch - ergonomic multi-function switch with intelligent controls and illuminated symbols for operational status of the shredder.

Factory Installed Automatic Oiler

There's no question that routine cutter blade oiling keeps shredders operating dependably with longer, maintenance-free life. All SEM Automatic Oilers are factory installed with an exclusive one gallon capacity. One gallon replacement jugs are attached to the oiler using quick disconnect covers. There are no reservoirs to fill and therefore no risk of oil spills. SEM cutting head oil is an all natural blend of specially formulated high viscosity oil, made from renewable resources.

NSA Approved Paper Shredders?

We often get asked if we sell NSA Approved Paper Shredders. The simple answer is "no one sells NSA approved paper shredders". The reason is that the NSA does not approve paper shredders. The NSA "evaluates" paper shredders to ensure they meet destruction requirements outlined in NSA/CSS 02-01.

If after an the extensive evaluation process it is determined that a shredder meets these requirements then it is "listed" on the NSA Evaluated Product List (EPL).

So the better question is not "is this an NSA Approved Shredder?" but "is this shredder listed on the NSA's Evaluated Products List?"

The Model 244/4PB IS listed on the current NSA EPL. In fact, we have more models listed on the EPL than any other supplier.
